It was pretty much amazing. One of the highlights was Dr. Cornell West, he was the opening speaker. I felt like I was at a Civil Rights Rally in the 1960s....this video speaks for itself. ENJOY!!!!

Imagine seeing this live....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTOfjle-fK4&feature=related

Confession

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 205px; height: 196px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_u1cTDzS7KHk/TJzK1-PpIKI/AAAAAAAAADA/bSkcSuE1zFs/s320/images.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520510271839871138" />
Ok, so while I was in Chile people would always ask me about the peanut butter (they don't have it in South America) because all the gringos would rant and rave about how much they loved peanut butter and how much they missed it. And honestly I didn't even know that I liked peanut butter that much until I went 18 months without being able to buy it for $2 at Macey's down the street.
On many occasions they would even ask "So what do you eat peanut butter with?" I would promptly tell them about how as a little child, almost every American ate PB & J for lunch in the school cafeteria. I personally liked mine on white bread, without the crusts and cut diagonally with smooth Peter Pan peanut butter.
Anyway, the point of this post is to confess that I am 24 years old and I STILL eat PB & J almost EVERY FREAKIN DAY for lunch (but now I used crunchy peanut butter and wheat bread)! Ridiculous I know, but to be honest in the morning I have so little time that the only thing I can think of is taking 2 pieces of bread and putting delicious peanut butter and jelly on top of it and done...in less than 1 minute i have prepared my lunch. I guess we never really grow up huh?

Happy Birthday!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_u1cTDzS7KHk/S9EDhna1EnI/AAAAAAAAACw/XqHWz0lUjmU/s320/Mom%27s+Camera+4-22-10+279.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5463151699029201522" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_u1cTDzS7KHk/S9EDgw7yPjI/AAAAAAAAACo/V4uX4e88uq0/s320/Mom%27s+Camera+4-22-10+278.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5463151684403478066" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_u1cTDzS7KHk/S9EDgppuDnI/AAAAAAAAACg/j-axppuyZi0/s320/Mom%27s+Camera+4-22-10+276.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5463151682448658034" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_u1cTDzS7KHk/S9EDgIiTU9I/AAAAAAAAACY/BjBHLb5RsQ0/s320/Mom%27s+Camera+4-22-10+270.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5463151673559176146" />
So for those of you who don't know, April is the birthday month in the Richardson home. My mom, my nephew, my sister-in-law and I all have birthdays in April. Wahoo!

For Patrick's fifth birthday (my nephew) he decided to go to the Mecca of all five year olds....Chuck E Cheese! I must say that going to Chuck E Cheese brought back awesome memories of my childhood. The most vivid being playing Skee Ball. I'm not gonna lie, I got a butt load of tickets when i was younger from playing Skee Ball; however, it wasn't necessarily because I was good at it...let me explain:

So we all know that in Skee Ball you have to "softball throw" a freakin hard little ball into different holes (all of which have different points, depending on the size of the hole). Well, obviously the goal is to get the ball into the 10,000 point hole everytime so you get the most tickets, but it's way small. So my solution as a 10 (maybe older) year old competitive youth was to get a small kid to walk up the Skee Ball alley and drop the ball into the 10,000 hole everytime, thus giving me a TON of tickets. I must say, this "method" of playing worked out great....until one time an employee caught me doing it and I almost got kicked out. That brought a harsh stop to my game winning play.

Anyway, now that I went back as a 24 year old Return Missionary I was still VERY tempted to teach my 5 year old nephew the secret to my success. I'm a bit ashamed to admit I was about to do it until I envisioned the look of his mother's (my sister)face when she found out what I was about to do....Needless to say, I spent the remainder of my time at Chuck E Cheese loosing....but doing it truthfully.
